What was it about children that Jesus thought we should imitate? They run around with dirty faces without a care, cry unashamedly when they are sad, erupt with laughter by the smallest tickle, and expect someone else to take care of their snotty noses. But Jesus said, “Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Realizing that God sees all our dirt and loves us anyway frees us to love others. God’s love allows us to relax in His lap of blessings, wipe our tears with His sleeve, and let Him continue to clean us up day after day.
This past Saturday’s women’s conference allowed us girls to climb into the lap of God and enjoy His sweet embrace. The time spent in prayer overwhelmed us all. I can’t thank Lean Into Jesus Ministries enough for allowing me to take part. I learn so much by watching all of you love on “your” Jesus. May God’s Spirit continue to fill us all.
Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!
